Hemingford Manor, the oldest building in continuous habitation in Britain is an ancient hall near St Ives which is the location of Lucy Boston’s ‘Children of Green Knowe’ stories.
A ship’s bell features in the stories and after visitors have viewed the house and beautiful gardens they can buy a bell rope keyring in the shop to remember their visit.
